Richard Klagsbrun

Richard Klagsbrun is a filmmaker, producer, media executive and writer who lives in Toronto. A former member of the original group of executives at eBay billionaire Jeff Skoll’s Participant Productions, as Strategic Planning and Creative Executive, Klagsbrun was instrumental in the conception of Participant’s unique marketing model of attaching specific social action campaigns to their films and co-marketing with groups with similar aims. This model was used to tremendous effect for Participant’s films including the Academy Award winning An Inconvenient Truth. He also made important creative contributions to Participant’s slate of opening films which garnered an unprecedented 12 Academy Award nominations. Klagsbrun has since co-founded the new media company View2gether, which was the pioneer of online social viewing, and has been a creative consultant for shows such as the CBC miniseries GUNS . He is currently co-producing a very low budget feature and having loads of fun with it.
