Latest Propaganda From The Front At Christmas Time

propagandist magazine politics essay comment newsYou might think there would be more good news from our allies at the time of year when peace and goodwill towards all is supposed to be the standard. Not so much. The Propagandist links to some of the bizarro stuff happening out there, from Amnesty-International vetted "charity workers" fighting (and dying) for jihad in Afghanistan to the weirdness of North Korea and the international community. Oh, and Christmas-timed terror attacks, naturally.

Amnesty International And Its 'Cage Prisoners' Poster Boy Get What They Wanted. "Rideh was a poster boy for jihadist Moazzam Begg's Cage Prisoners outfit, which has enjoyed the support, the services and the platforms of Amnesty International, to the great dismay of AI supporters and some AI staff, most notably AI whistleblower Gita Saghal, who was turfed from her job as head of AI's Gender Unit for her trouble."

The PA's Choice: Palestinian State or Palestinian Cause. Rather than engage in negotiations which will reinforce the need for compromise, the PA has embarked on a strategy that, in the language of de Callieres, places its "passions" over its "interests." Moreover, the PA is getting away with it, because it has become adept, in its relations with powers great and small, at trading its supposed powerlessness as a form of power.

The dangers of terrorism denial. Blaming governments instead of terrorists for their atrocities is becoming all too common. Let us not be fooled into thinking that if we were to change our foreign policy these attacks would cease. It is a causal but not a determining factor. No matter how much the West tries to appease Muslim communities and Muslim-majority countries, Islamist fascists will always believe that the West is against Islam and Muslims worldwide.

Seattle buses may display anti-Israel advertising. The advertisement reads “Israeli War Crimes Your tax dollars at work.” To the right of the image is a group of children — one boy stares out at the viewer, the others look at a demolished building.

South Korea Defends Itself. The Obama administration has correctly backed South Korea, a vital ally. Were America to abandon South Korea, the consequences truly would be catastrophic for western interests. China would be emboldened. The North would wreak havoc. And Japan would go nuclear.
